Once again, it has been ages since I posted something. So here is a little update:
I graduated from USM in May and am finally no longer a student! Feels great to be free from school but is a bit terrifying knowing that I have to make a living now. Fortunately, I had an amazing summer working on several films. I barely had a week free all summer. I worked as an AC in NOLA, El Paso, and in NE MS on a short directed by Johnson Thomasson. It was an awesome experience and am so glad to have been apart of it.

I also had a 5 day boom operator job in TN that was amazing. Boom op. is fun, plus it pays very well.

(excuse the gut, i'm working on it!)
I also got to work on my second feature during the summer. This time i got to be script supervisor on an independent feature called "The Dynamiter". It was another amazing experience. I got to spend a month in Glen Allen, MS, work with amazing people, and do a job that was very different from what I'm used to doing. However, it was loads of fun, and I gained a lot from the experience.

My summer ended with a short gaffer/bcam operator job in DC working on a short doc called Climate Chains.
After I ran out of work at the beginning of August, I finally finished my new film which I co-wrote and directed with my best friend April Wren Its called
The Mistake. We were able to premier this film at Daniel Lee's Tupelo Underground Film festival. This film is now off to several film festivals along with my senior thesis film Parted. So hopefully, I'll be attending some film festivals in the near future.

Right now I'm sitting at home trying to find more work. Sent my resume out to as many productions as I can find and am praying I get some work soon. A little time off is fun, but if you have too much, it becomes torture lol. So if you ever need a Camera Assistant or any other crew. let me know!
I'm also in the development stages on a new short film. I have a script but haven't really decided if want this film to be my next. Need to do some more thinking.
well that is it for now. I'm going to try not to wait months before doing another blog.
Cheers!
